Unlike rapid sun-withered styles, classic Zhenghe white tea relies on prolonged indoor shade withering, a slow artisanal process that gently evaporates moisture over 48 to 72 hours, preserving delicate volatile aromatic compounds and creating teas of exceptional depth and aging potential. Longhe’s preservation of historic architectural drying rooms, strict organic estate management, and extensive cellar archives have been instrumental in establishing Zhenghe’s prestige.
